The spiral notepad emoji is very versatile, much like the physical object it represents! It shows a spiraled notepad, usually flipped open to show lined and occasionally margined pages. On LG, Facebook and Microsoft platforms, the emoji is shown with its yellow cover flipped over to close the notepad. It is frequently used – either by itself or in conjunction with others – to represent academia, school life, study and homework. Notebooks are a common tool of trade for a number of professions also, such as for reporters, lawyers and police officers. It can be used, often with a pen or pencil emoji to tell someone that you are “taking note” of what they are saying.
